A list of suggestions for optimizing the
performance of your computer and All Sports Analysis Program is

What
You Need
ALL SPORTS ANALYSIS PROGRAM
A basic model, miniDV (tape) format camcorder allows you to take full advantage of all program features, including the ability to do a "live" (or recorded) capture directly into All Sports Analysis Program.
miniDV camcorders have a FireWire port, which connects to your computer's FireWire port. FireWire is technically known as IEEE 1394, Sony calls it iLink.
That's all the equipment you need.
miniDV camcorders have a Sports shutter setting, which lets you record
blur-free video, this is especially important for doing an
analysis.
The video "rate" in all consumer-level camcorders is a standard 30 frames-per-second, (25 FPS, PAL/SECAM).
A_S_A_P up-converts this video to 60 (50) FPS which gives you a very good look at the performance, even when things are moving fast. All Sports Analysis Program
can also import, up-convert and analyze any normal, interlaced AVI video file.
If you use a hard drive, flash memory or another format camcorder,
All Sports Analysis Program's direct capture feature won't be available. You would need to capture/
transfer the video to your computer using another application and save it as a regular .AVI file.
Analog camcorders (Hi8, VHS, etc.) connected to a computer which has an analog video capture device can also be used and will have the same
A_S_A_P features available as the miniDV/FireWire setup.
digiCam ANALYSIS
digiCam Analysis is designed for use with certain
digital cameras. It uses a file import method and is usually limited to a 30 FPS (25 FPS, PAL/SECAM) video rate.
Only cameras which record/play "progressive" (non-interlaced, frame) type video and saved as an AVI file can be imported into
digiCam Analysis. Quicktime, MOV and
other video formats need to be converted/ saved as an AVI file in another application before they can be used.
All Sports Analysis Program
and digiCam Analysis are
software-only products.
Required hardware not
included. Performance is computer system dependent.
Some functions need time to process.
