General

  • Program interface is easy to navigate because it has the same look, feel and functionality as other Windows® applications you're familiar with.

  • Includes extensive in-program Help, technical guidelines, plus easy-to-learn Analysis construction and presentation tutorials.

  • For convenience, many operations can be performed by simply "dragging-and-dropping" elements where you want.

  • Many A_S_A_P processes are WYSIWYG, what-you-see-is-what-you-get.

  • Organize program windows with the "Align" buttons in the toolbar and on some windows themselves. Click these special buttons to neatly place Player and other windows side-by-side, right or left, or in the center of the screen.

  • One-button voice record and audio playback of instruction and general comments using your computer microphone and sound card. No files to load or save. 

  • Individual Analysis pictures can be saved as bitmap image (.bmp) files to hard drive, floppy discs and other mediums, attached to e-mail or used in other applications. 

  • You can open two or more copies of the same Analysis. This allows you to view different Key Positions or parts of the video at the same time.

  • Completed Analysis can be modified or updated easily and as often as desired.

Video Capture

  • Integrated "designed for analysis" video capturing software lets you quickly capture and analyze the athletic performance within the program.

  • 60 FPS high-speed video capturing/analysis: double the normal video frame rate and data.

  • Technical aspects have been pre-set to simplify digitizing live and video-recorded athletic events.

  • Literally, with "one button click," go from capturing to analysis.

  • Video capture with manual and automated control.

  • Digitize a single event to one of the program's 10 video capture files. This allows you to choose, with a button-click, which videos to retain or write-over.

  • Digitize a series of events to two or more of the 10 video capture files you select by button-clicking. This allows you to choose which videos to retain or write-over.

  • Auto-Timed Capture feature digitizes video for the number of seconds you choose.

  • Auto Delay Before Start lets you set the number of seconds to delay before capturing begins.

  • Auto Pause Between lets you set the number of seconds to delay between capturing a series of events.

  • Auto Save takes care of processing and other details.

  • Set Countdown To Capture, Countdown Between Capture for visual display and/or audible alerts. See number of seconds remaining and hear tones that let you know when capture will begin. 
  • Catalog/identify videos by attaching a text Note to the captured/saved files.

  • Easily trim the length of captured videos by simply moving time-line Position Indicator to your desired start point. End point and total time are figured automatically.

  • Direct Capture to Analysis function captures and allows you to instantly overlay graphics and analyze the performance.

  • Set Direct Capture record times, from 1.5 to 3.0 seconds for High Speed (60/50 FPS) Analysis, up to 6 seconds for Normal rate (30/25 FPS) Analysis. 

  • Direct Capture utilizes single-click, countdown delay, auto-timed capture and other automated features.

  • Comment can automatically be activated immediately after Direct Capturing to let you start voice-recording an observation about the performance.

  • Captured videos are retained even after you exit the program, allowing you to resume analysis work at a later session.

  • You're not limited to working on only one or two events at a time. Capture and store up to 10 videos within the program.

  • With a button click, instantly access any of videos held within the program.

  • Import Normal-Rate videos and convert them to (60/50 FPS) High-Speed videos with a simple button click.

  • Extract 60/50 FPS, choose a video codec, size and save as .AVI video file.

  • Control playing your source camcorder/VCR. (if hardware supported).

  • Capture television video (if hardware supported).

Analysis Player/Tools

  • Special 60 FPS Player with multiple drawing tools and graphical processing options.

  • Clicking the Capture button starts a Direct Capture to Analysis. It automatically loads and displays the newly-digitized video.  

  • Click Play button, Screen, or keyboard Spacebar, to start and stop video player.

  • Video repeats playing automatically.

  • Select one of 21 Speeds and Pause using Speed Slider control.

  • On-the-fly speed changes using mouse or keyboard.

  • Click Position Indicator in Seek Bar and move mouse right and left to manually take video ahead and back.

  • Click right of Position Indicator in Seek Bar to move video forward.

  • Click left of Position Indicator in Seek Bar to move video back.

  • Click Forward Button to go forward 1 video frame.

  • Click Back Button to go back 1 video frame.

  • Hold down SloMo Forward button to manually control playing video at slow speed.

  • Hold down SloMo Reverse button to manually control playing video in reverse at slow speed.

  • With mouse-pointer over SloMo Reverse button, pressing the left mouse button plays video in reverse and pressing the right mouse button plays it forward.

  • With video at desired position, click Start Replay Loop Button to set starting point for a continually-repeating video segment.

  • With video at desired position, click End Replay Loop Button to set end point for the repeating video segment.

  • Clicking the "Bounce" Loop Button, plays the loop segment to the end point then plays it in reverse to the start point, then repeats the process.

  • Combine multiple functions, mix automatic and manual features.

  • Easily set and instantly view noteworthy points during the athletic performance using the 10 Key Position buttons.

  • With the Set button activated, pressing the numbered keyboard keys, as the video plays, sets the Key Positions on-the-fly.

  • Clicking the set (indicated by the bold number) Key Positions buttons, or pressing the number keys takes the video to that point.

  • Select any combination of set positions, by clicking the rectangular box above button, to see automatically-alternating Key Position combinations.

  • Clicking the Scan button lets you view the selected Key Positions in a linear fashion.

  • Clicking the S/G (Stop/Go) button plays the video to the next selected Key Position and pauses, then resumes playing to the following Key Position. 

  • Key Position settings are automatically saved.

  • Clicking the Jog button shows/hides the Jog control interface. Moving the mouse-pointer, right and left, runs the video, forward and reverse, at various speeds and also pauses play.

  • Quick Comment, red circle button, starts audio recording up to 30 seconds of comments to be associated with the Analysis. 

  • Quick Comment, green square button, starts playing any recorded comments attached to the performance.

  • Displays show Quick Comment time (countdown), current video frame number, current video time, time-difference between Key Positions, set speed (FPS), Analysis window width and (tool tip over Size button) shows the video's actual width.

  • Clicking the "Pencil" button, shows/hides a text box used for writing a short Note regarding the performance.

  • Clicking the Size button, displays controls for easily setting the width of the Analysis window.

  • Move the actual video screen left, right, up or down to re-frame the action.

  • Crop the video to the size and look as it currently appears on-screen.

  • Crop/Centered option automatically centers the video by equally removing pixels from both sides.

  • Clicking the "graphic elements" button or right-mouse clicking the screen shows or hides the Draw Toolbox.

  • Position drawing tools on-screen by clicking the buttons in toolbox's lower-left corner.

  • Draw: Lines, Freehand, Circles and Rectangles (open or filled) using mouse.

  • Draw connected lines from start or end points.

  • Draw/Compute: Angle Lines (degrees).

  • Quick Draw position-able Cross-Hair Lines.

  • Type Text over video.

  • Choose Colors: Yellow, Green, Red, Blue, Magenta and Cyan.

  • Select Styles: Solid, Dot or Dash.

  • Vary Widths: Thin, Normal and Wide.

  • 10 Graphic "Undo" Levels, using toolbox, keyboard or right mouse button.

  • Save and Load Overlay graphics and use them to compare athletic performances.

  • Create custom graphics and superimpose them over the video.

  • Plot an athlete's or their equipment's position throughout the video.

  • Remove color from video so overlaid colored graphics have more impact.

  • Flip the video vertically and horizontally.

  • Rotate the video clockwise and counter-clockwise.

  • Save Analysis video with superimposed graphics for future evaluation or side-by-side comparisons within A_S_A_P.

  • Video can also saved it as an .AVI format file with compression, size and other choices.

Video Player

  • Custom Video Player can be opened independently allowing you to choose any video file you wish to play.

  • Video starts playing automatically.

  • Video repeats continually, until stopped.

  • Select one of 10 Speeds and Pause using the convenient Speed Slider for exceptional video play control.

  • Make on-the-fly speed changes using the mouse or keyboard.

  • Click the video screen to pause.

  • Click the video screen again to continue.

  • Click along the Seek Bar "time line" and hold down mouse button to go to a point in the performance and pause the video.

  • Release the mouse button to continue play from that point.

  • Click again to immediately return to that point.

  • Click Position Indicator in the Seek Bar and move mouse right and left to manually take video ahead and back.

  • Click Forward Button to go forward 1 video frame.

  • Click Back Button to go back 1 video frame.

  • Hold down SloMo Forward button to manually control playing video at slow speed.

  • Hold down SloMo Reverse button to manually control playing video in reverse at slow speed.

  • Easily set a "replay loop" for any portion of the performance and watch a continually repeating video segment.

  • Play Analysis video at your monitor's full-screen size.

  • Combine multiple functions to view video exactly the way you want.

  • Mix automatic and manual features for even greater control.

Printing

  • Choose one of 6 pre-formatted layouts for quick and easy printing of pictures and comments.

      #2: 2 Medium Size Pictures, 6 Comment Lines, Landscape Orientation (11 x 8.5)

  • Simply "drag and drop" pictures from any source into placeholders in the layouts.

  • Pictures are automatically scaled, sized and positioned.

  • Pictures are retained even if you change to another layout or close print window.

  • Pictures are captioned by number to make comment references easy to understand.

  • Type up to 6 lines of instructional or other comments about the Analysis pictures.

  • Customize layouts with information you want to appear on all printed pages.

  • Change the Headline text to print the learning center, athletes name, performance  problem, etc. at the top of the page, or you can leave this area blank.

  • Change the Baseline text to print the instructor, coach, etc. at the bottom of the page or you can leave this area blank.  

  • Select the Print Date checkmark to print the current date at the bottom of each page. 

  • When layouts are setup to your liking, just click the Print button or icon to print.

  • Program retains your custom settings until you change them.

  • Keeps layout, picture and comment setups until you exit program.

Picture Holder

  • Conveniently stores up to 10 pictures which you can access quickly and use in the process of doing graphics or other work. 

  • Simply drag a picture from any source into one of the placeholders. To use a picture, click one of the miniature-representative images and drag to any screen which accepts pictures. 

  • You can arrange the "mini-rep" images within the Picture Holder by dragging from one placeholder to another. The pictures are retained, even if you hide the Picture Holder, until you exit the program.

Fast Open Tray

  • Lets you quickly load an Analysis without having to use the File Open dialog box.

  • Ideal for holding works-in-progress or Analysis commonly used for comparisons.

  • Holds thumbnail representative images and file open shortcuts for 5 Analysis.

  • Images, rather than names, let you "see" the Analysis.

  • Store an Analysis in the tray by simply dragging its video screen picture.

  • Mouse-pointer over an image displays the title of the Analysis.

  • Load an Analysis by double-clicking its mini-rep image.

  • Option to Auto-Load the Fast Open Tray when program starts.

A-B Control Bar

  • Controls playing any two Analysis videos.

  • Clicking the Set A and B buttons, controls the active Analysis.

  • Both Analysis' continue to work individually.

  • Cue each Analysis to any frame to synchronize the two videos.

  • Clicking the A-B Play/Stop button simultaneously starts or stops both Analysis videos.

  • Holding-down the SloMo Forward button lets you manually control play of both videos at slower speed.

  • Pressing the SloMo Reverse button allows you to slowly play both videos in reverse.

  • With your mouse-pointer over the Reverse button, pressing the left mouse button takes the video back and pressing the right mouse button moves the video ahead.

  • Keeps both videos in-sync with absolute frame accuracy.
